In Meja Tehsil of the district Allahabad (U.P.) Sri Anil Tiwari, Assistant Archaeologist of this circle has carried out an exploration and reported the findings as follows.

Uruva  -    It is located about 148 Km from Varanasi and 30 Km. from Allahabad. In this village medieval pottery has been noticed in the agricultural field where red ware pottery found in a good number.

Dih Kot -   This site has yielded the medieval potsherds and brick bats in a good quantity. Most of the sherds are of dull Red ware while few are found treated with red slip.

Khera  -    It is situated approximately 13 Kms., from the village Uruva where the remains of foundation of a medieval fort has been noticed.

Unnah  -   This village is situated about 24 Kms from Uruva where medieval potsherds are scattered in a good number. Besides some brickbats have also been observed at this mound which is now using by the villagers as an agricultural land.
